It’s hard to believe, but lockdown may finally be easing (at least, for now). So, what are you most looking forward to doing with your new-found freedom? Here are some apps and websites that may help you to decide.

Hair and beauty

Are. You. Ready… If you fancy a brand new look, or just a little off the bottom, you could use one of these fab apps to find a new stylist.

– Nearcut: Find your nearest barber and book an appointment today. Available on iOS and Android.

Restaurants

It may be al fresco dining for now, but there are still lots of options for eating and drinking. OpenTable lets you book an outdoor table at your favourite restaurant, café or pub with just the click of a button. Plus, there are no booking fees.

And if you are looking for a bargain make sure you check out Tastecard for some big discounts on eating out. They also offer discounts on cinemas, takeaways and theme parks,

Golf

The Golf is now on. With over 1,700 of the best golf courses to choose from, you can easily book a tee time with the GolfNow app. Available on iOS and Android.

The Zoo

Zoos, safari parks and aquariums will be opening up from April 12th. To plan a great day out for the whole family, Both ZSL London and Whipsnade Zoos have safely reopened! Or have a look through Tripadvisor and find somewhere close to you.

Live entertainment

Whether it’s the theatre shows, festivals or concerts that you’ve missed in lockdown, there are a number of great live events going ahead this summer. Take a look on ticketmaster to find something you fancy.

Museums and galleries

From May 17th all our favourite museums and galleries will be opening their doors again. Conventions and exhibitions are expected to be back on too. Until then, we’ll have to make do with outdoor activities (from 12th April). If you want to know if there’s anything going on where you are, check out the museum websites for more info.

Getting togethers

We think you’ll agree, this one is the most important. We can FINALLY, get off of Zoom, put our phones down, and just enjoy spending time with friends and family (in outdoor space from 2m away).

I think it’s fair to say, there’s going to be a lot to look forward this Summer. But first…. goodbye lockdown, hello haircut.
